Voxiva is Closing Distance and Technology Gaps to Help Stop Diseases in Their Tracks - Business 2.0 Magazine
January 26, 2007 - In the January edition of Business 2.0 magazine, Voxiva is listed with another 8
companies who are all "leading the charge to save the planet". In a feature entitled "Go Green. Get
Rich", the magazine focuses on 9 companies that are making a business out of socially conscious
ventures.
The segment featuring Voxiva, written by Michel Lev-Ram, focuses on how Voxiva is using technology to help
prevent Epidemics. Paul Meyer, Co-founder and Chairman of Voxiva is featured along with co-founders Pamela
Johnson and Anand Narasimhan and the article outlines how Voxiva is making 'tracking epidemics' a viable
business. Meyer says "We think we could be a $40 million company in four years". Voxiva currently provides
health management solutions in Africa, Asia as well as in both North and South America, but it is already
expanding into other areas such as Clinical Drug Trials with a solution to test a new drug for the sand-fly-borne
disease leishmaniasis for The Institute of One World Health.
The other segments within the article feature business initiatives to tackle such weighty issues as Global Warming,
Oil Dependancy, Hunger & Malnutrition, Air polution, Dirty Water, Overfishing, Drug Resistant Infections and Waste
Disposal.
